Mal has an extensive and varied agency experience having worked as a Planning Director at Carat UK, then Managing partner of Australia’s largest media agency, Mitchell Media (now AEGIS Media) for 10 years and 4 years as Head of Digital at MediaCom Australia.
Mal is the inaugural General Manager of The Readership Works Australia, the entity created by NewsMediaWorks in 2010 and charged with introducing a new and ground-breaking audience insight survey in Australia.
Mal has a deep understanding of the business and research requirements of media agencies, advertisers and publishers in a multi-platform world.

He subsequently held Marketing Director positions in the Outdoor advertising sector, responsible for operations across Australia and New Zealand. In 2013, he joined industry body NewsMediaWorks as Marketing Director. He has been a driving force behind the repositioning of the sector to reflect the multi-media nature of Australia’s leading news publishers.
